GENERAL INFORMATION

Meteorex 2010 exhibition is organised by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) and the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).

The exhibiton will be at Wanha Satama exhibition center in Helsinki. The FMI subcontractor Helsingin Messut Oy- Wanhasatama will be the constructor for the fair.

METEOREX 2010 EXHIBITION
METEOREX is the Exhibition of Meteorological Instruments, Related Equipment and Services. This exhibition gathers together many of the leading companies in the field from all over the world. The exhibition offers the opportunity to industry to present their offerings to the scientific and user communities in the field of atmospheric and environmental observations.

WMO-TECO CONFERENCE
TECO is the World Meteorological Organization’s Technical Conference on Meteorological and Environmental Instruments of Observation. TECO is arranged every two years jointly with METEOREX exhibition. TECO is a forum for scientific presentations and discussions of weather and environmental observation techniques.

WMO-CIMO SESSION
CIMO is the World Meteorological Organization’s Commission for Instruments and Methods of Observation. This WMO committee convenes every four years and acts as WMO’s committee for global discussion and decision-making arena on issues concerning weather observation methods and technologies. WMO Member countries nominate their official national delegates for this session.
VENUE
The congress will take place in Wanha Satama (=Old Harbour) which is situated in walking distance from the Helsinki city center and market square. Katajanokka is an old harbour area and each building in the area has a story to tell.
 In Wanha Satama the historical brick walls will be a pleasant stage for Meteorex exhibition. The warm and beautiful premises enable compact and comfortable atmosphere to meet clients personally.
